Mount Carmel · The Holy Land
“Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord.”Isaiah ii. 3
Gustave Doré, The Sermon on the Mount, 1866

Chapter I · The Mount of Elijah
On the heights of Carmel the prophet Elijah stood alone before the people and called down fire upon the altar. The mount has been holy ever since: to the prophets who praised its beauty, to the pilgrims who climbed it, and to every generation that has looked up at it from the sea.
“The Lord, he is the God; the Lord, he is the God.”1 Kings xviii. 39
Our land lies on the slopes of Mount Carmel, in the north of the Holy Land. It is divided into numbered portions, each recorded in a register and given under one of three ancient titles.
Chapter II · The Voice of the Prophets
Three of the prophets of Israel named Carmel as the very picture of a blessed land.

The excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the Lord.Isaiah xxxv. 2

I will bring Israel again to his habitation, and he shall feed on Carmel.Jeremiah l. 19

The Lord will roar from Zion; and the top of Carmel shall wither.Amos i. 2
Chapter III · The Three Portions
The disciple follows. The prophet speaks for the land. The patriarch founds a house upon it. Each portion carries one of these callings as an honorary title. Prices in USD.
Chapter IV · Your Verse
Every scroll carries one verse of Scripture, set by hand beneath your name. Bring the verse that has carried you, or let us suggest one.
We set verses from the King James Version. Every verse is checked against Scripture before the scroll is written.
Chapter V · The Scrolls
Examples of scrolls as they are written. Each is printed on heavy parchment, rolled, sealed in clay and sent in a linen pouch or case.
Sample names. Real scrolls carry the holder’s own name and verse.

Chapter VI · Replanting the Mount
“A land of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of oil olive, and honey.”Deuteronomy viii. 8
The mount is tended, cleared and replanted with the trees of Scripture. Holders receive a photograph of the season’s planting each year.
Chapter VII · The Rite
A title, a name and a verse are chosen. A portion may be given as a gift.
As the tribes received their land by lot, the next numbered portion is allotted to the name.
The scroll is written with the name, title and verse, and sealed in clay.
The scroll travels to the holder within 5 to 10 working days, with a digital copy the same day.
Chapter VIII · The Register
A sample leaf of the register. Select a portion to read its entry.

Questions
No. A portion is a symbolic dedication recorded in our private register. It gives no ownership, lease, deed or other right in land. In Israel, rights in land exist only through registration at the Land Registry, and this keepsake involves none.
No. The land is private and is kept quiet for replanting, so it is not open to holders or the public. You receive your scroll, its number on the register and a photograph of the mount each year.
Yes. Choose any verse from the Bible, up to 260 letters, or pick one of ours. We set it in the King James Version and check it before the scroll is written.
Disciple, Prophet and Patriarch are honorary names within the Register of the Holy Mount. They are not titles of nobility, religious offices or legal status, and they make no claim of spiritual authority.
Ten percent of the price of every portion goes to a separate Replanting Fund. It pays for olive, fig and other native trees, their planting and their care on the mount. Holders receive a yearly account of what was planted.
The land has a fixed area. Each title has a set number of portions so that the slopes, paths and trees remain. When a title’s portions are given, it closes.
